Oman Round Trip: Mountains, Beach & Desert Luxury

Experience Oman up close – away from mass tourism and close to the people. On this tour, you will not only discover the breathtaking nature of the Sultanate but also the warm spirit of the country. Here, it is the encounters that stay in memory: the genuine smile of a date seller in the souk, the aroma of fresh coffee with cardamom served to you by your host in a mud house – or the silence of an evening by the campfire with Bedouins in the desert.

Between mountain villages, palm oases, and ancient trade routes, you will experience the real Oman – hospitable, tradition-conscious, and surprisingly joyful. Whether at a tea ceremony in a family, chatting with merchants at the goat market, or listening to old stories under the starry sky – this trip takes you deep into the soul of a country that lives its culture with pride and openness.

This tour is more than a vacation – it is a dive into the warm soul of the Orient.

The first stop of today is in Birkat al-Mauz. The mountain village grants you insight into the original life of Oman, which still takes place here among date palms and goat herds. The ancient falaj canal system, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage, runs through the village, ensuring the local water supply.

The route takes you further into the mountainous landscape up to Jebel Akhdar. A round trip, where you will already gain impressive impressions, will finally take you to your hotel. The Alila Jebel Akhdar is located at over 2000 meters above sea level and promises the highest comfort in a breathtaking environment. Jebel Akhdar – The Green Mountain

The imposing Hajar Mountains in the Sultanate of Oman are the perfect place for hiking, mountain biking, and of course, relaxing. Jebel Akhdar, whose name means “green mountain” in German, is part of the range. It has earned its name because it is one of the most fertile regions of the country. Terraced fields have been created on the slopes of the mountain, where various fruits such as pomegranates and apricots, as well as roses, grow, from which the famous rose water of the region is made.
