Discover the Maldives in all their diversity
The Maldives are a destination for travellers who value peace, beauty and something truly personal. Scattered across the Indian Ocean, the islands offer far more than just picture-perfect beaches. Each atoll has its own rhythm. Each island its own atmosphere. A Maldives journey doesn’t begin on arrival – it begins with the decision to slow down and tune in.
A Maldives holiday can be luxurious, relaxed or adventurous. As a private island escape. As a luxury trip with overwater villas, spa and gourmet cuisine. Or as part of a tailor-made combination with Sri Lanka or a safari in Africa. Whether you're snorkelling at the house reef, cruising at sunset or waking to the sound of the sea – the Maldives offer moments that stay with you.

What You Should Know Before Your Maldives Trip
From travel seasons to island selection – everything you need to plan your Maldives journey right.
When is the Best Time to Travel to the Maldives?
The Maldives are a year-round destination. For sunshine, calm seas and clear skies, the best time to travel is between December and April. These months offer ideal conditions for a relaxing Maldives holiday.
Between May and November, the southwest monsoon brings more clouds and brief rain showers. The reefs, however, are vibrant, and the ocean teems with life – perfect for snorkelling and diving. Fewer visitors and attractive seasonal offers also make this time appealing.
Whether you travel during the dry season or prefer a quieter time of year – we’ll help you plan your Maldives journey at the right time and in the right place.
Which Atoll Suits Your Travel Style?
The Maldives are made up of 26 atolls and over 1,000 islands – but only a fraction are open to travellers. Each region offers different experiences and moods.
The North and South Malé Atolls are close to the international airport and offer a wide choice of luxury resorts – ideal for short stays or island hopping. The Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is known for spectacular marine life and the famous Hanifaru Bay. For true seclusion, the Noonu or Gaafu Atolls in the far south are ideal.
We know the subtle differences between each atoll – and will help you find the island that feels just right for you.
Maldives Travel for Couples, Families and Honeymooners
The Maldives are ideal for honeymoons – but also for family holidays or peaceful solo getaways. Many islands cater to couples with privacy, spa treatments and spacious villas over the ocean.
Families are just as welcome. More and more resorts offer child-friendly villas, engaging activities and a safe environment for younger travellers.
For a more diverse experience, a Maldives combination trip is a great option – with Sri Lanka, East Africa or Southeast Asia. Whether you're looking to slow down at the end of a trip or want a contrast to city life, we’ll tailor the journey to your rhythm.
Getting to the Maldives and Your Resort
Flights from Europe to Malé International Airport (MLE) take around 10 to 11 hours. From there, transfers to the islands are by speedboat, domestic flight or seaplane – depending on your resort’s location.
Islands close to Malé are usually reached by boat within 30 to 45 minutes. Remote atolls are accessed by scenic seaplane rides – often one of the most memorable moments of the trip.
We take care of all logistics, so your arrival is smooth from the very first step.
