Today you will explore the surroundings. Jebel Akhdar (translated as “green mountain”) is part of the Omani Hajar Mountains. It has more than earned its name, as it is one of the most fertile regions in the country. Terraced fields have been established on the slopes, where various fruits such as pomegranates and apricots are grown. Roses also grow here, which are used for the production of the famous rose water of the region.

In the afternoon, you will head to Nizwa. The former capital of the Sultanate has a traditional souk where you can experience Omani culture up close. One of Nizwa's landmarks is the fort, from whose walls you can enjoy fantastic views of the surroundings and the mountains.

In the evening, we will make our way back to the hotel. From there, you can wonderfully observe the spectacular sunset.
