The capital of the United Arab Emirates is in no way inferior to its larger sister Dubai: A spectacular attraction surpasses the next. The United Arab Emirates is a desert state with predominantly subtropical climate. In the summer months from May to October, it can become extremely hot, with peak temperatures reaching up to 50 degrees. Outside of air-conditioned buildings, it is difficult for most Central Europeans to endure during this time. In the winter months from November to April, temperatures cool down to an average of 25 degrees. In January, the average temperatures are around 18 degrees. With eight to ten hours of sunshine a day and little to no rain, sun worshippers will be fully satisfied even in the winter months.
