Location

The LUX South Ari Atoll* is located in the western part of the Maldives in the namesake South Ari Atoll, one of the most well-known regions of the archipelago for its year-round marine fauna and good accessibility from Malé. The island is surrounded by a vast turquoise lagoon and offers a typical Maldives setting with long sandy beaches, lush vegetation, and a vibrant house reef right off the coast. Particularly characteristic is the location within one of the largest atolls in the country, known for its variety of diving and snorkeling spots as well as seasonal sightings of whale sharks. The journey takes about 25-30 minutes by seaplane or alternatively by domestic flight followed by a speedboat transfer, making the resort easily reachable while still conveying a high degree of island feel and seclusion.
