Finland Trip – Experience the Northern Lights and Magic of Finnish Lapland
Finland stands for vast forests, countless lakes, and a peace that one quickly feels. Nature and simplicity shape life here, far from hustle and noise.
In the far north lies Finnish Lapland, a destination for all who seek the original. Where vast snowfields, silent forests, and arctic horizons meet, a landscape full of contrasts emerges, rugged yet surprisingly calm. In winter, the region reveals its special magic. Under polar lights and in deeply snow-covered landscapes, silence becomes almost tangible. Whether dog sledding, on snowy trails, or gazing at the clear night sky, Finnish Lapland leaves impressions that linger long.
Why Finland with Take Memories?
Because we not only organize trips to Finnish Lapland, but also create experiences that last. Instead of pre-packaged programs or catalog tours, everything starts with a personal conversation, driven by a genuine interest in what you are truly seeking.
Finnish Lapland is not just a travel destination; it is a feeling of silence, expansiveness, and intense nature. We plan each trip individually, with experience, a fine sense of detail, special accommodations, and genuine enthusiasm for this unique region.

This allows us to recommend exactly the accommodations and experiences that truly suit you and showcase Lapland at its best. Often, it is the small details and special places off the usual paths that make a trip unforgettable.
Whether a cozy lodge in the snowy wilderness, a small group husky safari, or quiet moments under the polar sky – we tailor your trip to suit you. With a lot of personal commitment, honest recommendations, and the aim that your time in Lapland is not just a trip, but a memory for life.

Highlights & Experiences in Finland
What makes a trip to Finland special? We show you places and experiences that you won't find in travel catalogs – handpicked, authentic, and full of diversity.
Husky Action
A husky experience is one of the most impressive ways to experience the winter nature of Lapland. In a small, personal atmosphere, you head out into the snowy forests with an experienced team and energetic huskies. After a short introduction, you get to steer the sled yourself and feel the strength and enthusiasm of the dogs joyfully moving through the arctic landscape. Afterwards, there is time to get to know the dogs in the play area and to experience the special bond between human, animal, and nature. The experience is calm, authentic, and deeply connected to nature, showcasing Lapland in its most original state.
Northern Lights
It’s like with snow: The further north you travel, the greater the likelihood of seeing the Northern Lights. The season lasts approximately from the end of August to the beginning of April, with the time from mid-February to mid-March being particularly suitable. During this period, the overall conditions are often more favorable, as there is more daylight and nature is well-suited for outdoor activities. Many are especially interested in December because they hope for the combination of Christmas, snow, and the Northern Lights. In practice, however, this month is usually very wintry, with plenty of snow, often overcast skies, and overall little daylight, as it is the darkest month of the year.
Snowmobile
A snowmobile tour opens up a particularly impressive and active perspective of the winter landscape of Finnish Lapland. After a brief introduction, you travel through snowy forests, over frozen lakes, and along vast, untouched landscapes deep into the arctic nature. The crisp winter air, the special silence of the surroundings, and the feeling of expansiveness and freedom make this tour an intense nature experience. At the same time, the snowmobile allows access to remote areas that are otherwise hardly reachable in winter – letting you experience Lapland in a particularly authentic and fascinating way.
Overnight in an Igloo
Spending a night in an igloo is one of the most extraordinary ways to experience the arctic winter world of Finnish Lapland. Surrounded by snowy nature and the unique tranquility of the north, a very special atmosphere is created far from everyday life. Depending on the accommodation, the glass dome allows you to observe the clear starry sky and, with a bit of luck, even the Northern Lights right from your bed. The combination of cozy warmth inside and the quiet, arctic winter world outside makes this night an intense and unforgettable experience. At the same time, an igloo overnight stay combines comfort with a connection to nature, making Lapland feel particularly impressive and original.
Private Santa Claus Experience
The Santa Experience in Finnish Lapland allows for a personal and atmospheric meeting with Santa Claus in his homeland in the far north. In a lovingly designed environment, Santa takes time for individual conversations, little stories, and of course, memory photos. Depending on the program, the visit can be combined with other winter elements such as Santa's post office or a behind-the-scenes look at his daily "work". The special atmosphere of this experience makes it an unforgettable highlight of any Lapland trip, touching both children and adults alike and creating lasting memories.
Reindeer
The reindeer excursion offers an authentic opportunity to learn about the arctic nature and the traditional way of life in Finnish Lapland. In a small, personal atmosphere, you venture into the quiet winter landscape around Ivalo with local reindeer herders. You gain exciting insights into the significance of reindeer husbandry for Sami culture and daily life in the region. Away from hustle and large groups, a calm, original experience emerges, focusing on respectful interactions with animals and nature, allowing you to intensely feel the special atmosphere of the far north.
