Jumeirah Olhahali Island
Even the journey feels like a quiet transition into another rhythm: turquoise water, warm air, and this calm feeling of being far away from everyday life. Jumeirah Olhahali Island combines modern architecture with the relaxed openness of the Maldives, without coming across as cool or staged. Large terraces, bright materials, and plenty of space between the villas create an atmosphere that remains stylish yet pleasantly calm. During the day, light, sea, and tranquility set the pace; in the evenings, the paths over the water almost feel like small retreats in themselves. This is precisely where the special character of the resort lies: luxurious, yet never distant, but approachable and surprisingly light.

Cuisine
Culinary-wise, Jumeirah Olhahali Island offers a diverse selection. The Kayto is one of the special restaurants on the island and combines Japanese cuisine with Peruvian influences in the style of a modern Nikkei restaurant directly over the water. At Shimmers, Mediterranean and Greek dishes are the focus, served in a relaxed beach club atmosphere at the lagoon. Glow complements the offering with international cuisine and an open terrace over the sea, especially popular for breakfast and at sunset. Private dinners on the beach or directly in the villa create very personal experiences.
Activities
Days on the beautiful island can be designed to be active or consciously relaxing. In addition to classic water sports such as snorkeling, jet skiing, or diving, the resort also offers paddle tours, sunset cruises, and a modern overwater fitness studio overlooking the lagoon. The generous island layout feels particularly pleasant, with retreats that never feel overcrowded. Those who prefer a quieter pace will find treatment rooms directly over the water at the Talise Spa, as well as yoga and wellness offerings with plenty of privacy.
Villas
The 67 comfortable villas are among the largest in North Malé Atoll and, due to their architecture, almost resemble private beach houses on the water. Bright colors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and large rooftop terraces with private pools create a modern living experience that clearly differs from classic Maldives resorts. Particularly the overwater villas offer plenty of space and direct access to the lagoon, while the beach villas impress with their sheltered outdoor areas and private beach access. Despite the modern design, the atmosphere remains warm and relaxed.
Location
Jumeirah Olhahali Island is located in North Malé Atoll and is consequently relatively easy to reach. After landing in Malé, the onward journey is made by comfortable speedboat, which takes about 55 minutes to reach the island, depending on weather conditions. Particularly the journey without an additional domestic flight or seaplane makes the resort pleasantly relaxing, especially after long international flights. At the same time, the feeling of arriving far away from everyday life on a quiet private island remains.
