Welcome to Costa Rica
Upon your arrival at San José airport, you will receive a private transfer to your first accommodation. Relax from your long journey so that you are fit for your upcoming Costa Rica adventure.
Feel the tropical warm breeze already and let the first impressions of this vibrant capital sink in – perhaps with a walk through the old town or a typical Costa Rican dinner under the open sky.
River Rafting to the Pacuare Lodge
Early in the morning, you will be picked up by a guide from the Pacuare Lodge, as your first adventure is about to begin – you will travel to the lodge by white-water rafting. Dive deep into the rainforest and experience untouched nature, cascading waterfalls, a colorful plant world, and countless animals and birds.
You will spend two nights far from civilization in the midst of the tropical rainforest – a true natural paradise awaits you. Explore this oasis on a canopy tour from a bird's-eye view or hike to an indigenous tribe and learn about their fascinating way of life. Your departure will also be by white-water rafting.
The Arenal Volcano Region
Today, you will continue to the impressive Arenal Region. You will stay in a luxurious lodge with breathtaking views of the volcano. Take a hike at the foot of the volcano to a cooled lava tongue and explore the Arenal National Park with all its facets.
In the immediate surroundings of the volcano, there is little vegetation left, but in other areas of the national park, you can still find primary forest of the Cordillera Tilarán, which is however hardly accessible. You can look forward to dense rainforest, pine and eucalyptus plantations, waterfalls, and rivers.
Deep in the Jungle of Costa Rica
You leave the volcano region behind and drive to the remote Origins Lodge, deep in the jungle of Costa Rica. Surrounded by unique nature and views of Lake Nicaragua, you can unwind here and immerse yourself in the sounds of the forest.
Stroll through the lodge's grounds and discover toucans, parrots, and many other tropical birds, or try your hand at fishing in one of the eleven lagoons. Visit one of the coffee or cocoa plantations on a guided hike or a horseback ride.
Continuing to Manuel Antonio
From the interior of the country, you will head west to the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. You will spend the next four nights in a beautiful small town called Manuel Antonio. In addition to charming cafés and restaurants, you will find the eponymous national park with fascinating palm forests right by the Pacific.
Explore beautiful nature on a guided hike through the national park and learn about the numerous plants and the over 100 different mammals that live here, such as raccoons and sloths. Then, end your evening in one of the lovely restaurants in Manuel Antonio with a view of the Pacific.
Private Transfer to the Kura Villas
Today you will go to your last stop on your Costa Rica journey. A private transfer will take you up a hill in about an hour, where you can enjoy picturesque views of the Pacific coast. End the evening with a delicious dinner in a stunning setting before you embark on a full-day boat tour the next morning.
You will visit an island of the Corcovado National Park where you can view the excavations of an indigenous burial site. Around the island, there are several coral reefs that are ideal for snorkeling and diving.
Journey Home
Today is the day to say goodbye to Costa Rica. You will be driven back to San José in about 3 hours, from where you will begin your journey home. Once again, images of dense rainforests, roaring waterfalls, and golden beaches will flash before you.
Perhaps you look back with a smile at moments full of wonder, encounters with exotic animals, and the feeling of complete deceleration – memories that will stay with you for a long time.
