Modern building on a grassy hillside near a large body of water under a clear blue sky.

About 1,100 kilometers south of the Chilean capital Santiago, you will find Chiloé's island world, one of the last untouched natural paradises on Earth. Lush flower meadows meet dramatic cliffs, wide Pacific beaches blend with wild forest areas – it's no wonder that numerous legends and myths surround the second-largest island in the country. Amidst this breathtaking scenery, between roaring waves and gentle hills, you will find your accommodation on the Rilan Peninsula. The modern, minimalist architecture of Tierra Chiloé, built on stilts, harmoniously blends into the coastal landscape with its fjords, lagoons, and cliffs. Local traditions are also reflected in the kitchen of the in-house restaurant and in the Uma Spa, with treatments based on nature.

Culinary

The Chiloé fishing tradition is reflected in the diverse menu of the in-house restaurant. The omnipresent sea view is, of course, included. The inviting bar also pampers you with local specialties: Taste a drink made from Chilean pisco and honey sourced from the island, or cozy up with a glass of wine by the fireplace.

Location

On a hill between the Pacific Ocean and wetlands marked by lagoons and fjords, Tierra Chiloé greets you on the Rilan Peninsula, about 19 kilometers from Castro. With its colorful, stilt-built fishermen's huts and its sunny yellow-painted Jesuit church, the island capital is definitely worth a visit. Another worthwhile excursion destination is the northern Chiloé National Park with its dune-lined Pacific beaches, primeval forests, and river landscapes often shrouded in spherical fog clouds. Aeródromo Gamboa Airport is about 21 kilometers away.
