Arrival in Calama and onward travel to San Pedro de Atacama

After landing at Calama Airport, a transfer service will take you to San Pedro de Atacama, which is approximately 1.5 hours away. This town is primarily inhabited by indigenous tribes who live off agriculture and tourism. A church built in 1774 in the town center offers insight into the local culture. Admire the unique architecture of this building made of cactus wood, earthen walls, and support beams from carob trees.

San Pedro de Atacama – La Valle de la Luna (the Valley of the Moon)

Today starts with a visit to the Pukará de Quitor, a historic fortress of the Linkan Antai, an indigenous tribe that built this impressive structure in 1300 AD. Then, you will continue to the so-called Devil's Canyon at the San Pedro River. Here, a narrow footpath leads you through gigantic rock walls to Catarpe, a former fortress settlement of the Incas.

In the afternoon, head out into the desert. The Valley of the Moon lives up to its name with its rugged stone landscapes. Let the alien landscape of the world's driest desert enchant you. Climb the Duna Mayor at sunset for one of the most beautiful views over the valley!

Deep Canyons and Saltwater Lagoons

Spend the morning in the village of Atacameñan. In this peaceful place, with colonial-style architecture, you will find some of the most beautiful buildings in the region, such as the San Lucas bell tower made of volcanic stone, built in the 18th century.

In the afternoon, you can marvel at one of the many natural wonders of the region: the Salar de Atacama. A gigantic saltwater lagoon in the middle of the desert. Take a bath and watch the flamingos that call this oasis their home. After that, there are a number of smaller lagoons nearby to discover. Particularly from the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, you will have a breathtaking view of the vastness of the desert and the snow-capped mountains on the horizon.

The Geysers of Tatio

Early in the morning, you will set off to the famous geysers of Tatio. High in the Andes, these geysers form the highest geothermal field in the world. In addition to the steaming geyser fountains, warm thermal pools invite you to swim and relax.

Here, we offer you not only a guided tour of this fascinating landscape but also breakfast in the open air.

On the way back, you will make a short detour to the small, traditional Andean village of Machuca.

Santiago de Chile

After breakfast, your private transfer service will take you to Calama Airport. From here, you will fly to the Chilean capital, Santiago, where you will once again be picked up and taken to your hotel.

Santiago is a vibrant, ever-changing metropolis that is definitely worth discovering. Explore the city's landmarks while walking through its many different neighborhoods. From art galleries to renowned restaurants and the nightlife of Bellavista, Santiago impresses with an overwhelming variety.

Visit one of the many museums of regional history, try local delicacies at one of the stalls in the Mercado Central, or head to one of the city's many large parks to relax.

City Tour of Santiago

On a city tour today, you will visit some of the most important buildings in the city, such as the Catedral Metropolitana and the La Moneda Palace. Visit the charming Bellavista district or the modern skyscrapers in the financial district 'Sanhatten'. Then enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city from one of the highest elevations, Cerro Santa Lucía.

Coastal Cities, Wine, and Sea

Today, the sea is calling! The coastal cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar promise a day full of sea air and beautiful architecture. In Valparaíso, the city between mountains and sea, a historic trolley bus transports residents and visitors through the steep streets of the city and provides one of the best ways to explore this beautiful place, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After an excursion to the smaller Viña del Mar, you will visit a vineyard in the Casablanca Valley before returning to Santiago.

The Easter Islands

Today you will fly to the world-famous Easter Islands. After your arrival at Hanga Roa Airport, your private transfer service will take you to the hotel.

The afternoon is entirely at your leisure and gives you a first opportunity to explore the village or take a walk along the beach.

Graves, Statues, and Beaches

Today it is time to discover the island. On a drive along the coast, you will first reach the legendary burial site Ahu Akahanga, where according to legend the former king of the island, Hotu Matua, is said to be buried. Next, you will visit one of the most famous sites of the island: Rano Raraku. Here stand almost 400 gigantic stone statues, known as Moai, which made the Easter Islands famous. The journey continues to Ahu Tongariki, where there are more statues to admire, and finally ends at the beach of Anakena, where under palm trees more sculptures can be found on two large stone platforms overlooking the sparkling blue sea.

Visit to the Rano Kao Volcano and the Vinapu Temple

South of Hanga Roa lies the Rano Kao Volcano. On a drive up the steep roads of the mountain, you can glimpse the volcanic crater and the sparkling blue sea on the horizon. From here, you will continue to the village of Orongo, where you can visit the Vinapu Temple, a millennium-old structure where sacred ceremonies were once held. Then we will visit Ahu Akivi, a stone platform where seven statues stand, which according to legend represent the first seven explorers who landed on Easter Islands. The last stop of the day is at the Puna Pau quarry, where the hats of the Moai were carved from solid stone.
