The cultural triangle
A domestic flight takes you to Sigiriya, where you will first visit the impressive Dambulla Cave Temple.
In the coming days, discover the ancient royal city of Anuradhapura, experience a safari in Wilpattu National Park – with a bit of luck, you might spot leopards, elephants, bears, or crocodiles – and climb the famous 'Lion Rock' of Sigiriya.

Kandy & the Temple of the Tooth
Visit Kandy – the second-largest city in Sri Lanka, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the spiritual capital of the country.
Here lies the famous Temple of the Tooth, which houses a tooth of Buddha – a central sanctuary of Sri Lankan Buddhism. Every August, it is paraded through the city on the back of an elephant during a magnificent procession, accompanied by traditional dances and music.
The region around Kandy is not only suitable for cultural insights, but the surroundings also invite for hikes. Depending on your preferences, you can choose between routes of varying difficulty.
Whether breathtaking panoramic views or natural waterfalls inviting you to swim – Sri Lanka's nature shows itself at its best here.

Tea dreams & train moments
From Kandy, embark on one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. The approximately seven-hour ride takes you through breathtaking landscapes – past waterfalls, tea plantations, rice fields, small villages, and green mountain slopes. Time flies as you experience Sri Lanka from a new perspective.
The next day, visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge, which you traveled over by train the day before. Afterwards, enjoy a light hike to Little Adam's Peak and savor the beautiful nature.
To conclude, visit a tea plantation along with a tea factory and learn more about the production of Ceylon tea – including a small tasting.

Sri Lanka's “Big 3”
Today, your journey takes you to the south of Sri Lanka, to the legendary Yala National Park – the most famous and biodiverse national park in the country. After your arrival at the hotel, there will be time to enjoy the tropical surroundings and prepare for the upcoming nature adventure.
The next day, your safari begins – a true highlight. In the early morning hours or just before sunset, when the temperatures drop, wildlife comes to life. With a bit of luck, you will spot leopards, for which Yala is world-famous – it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. But also elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, jackals, axis deer, and a variety of exotic bird species are among the possible encounters.
