Arrival in Cartagena

Upon your arrival at the international airport in Cartagena, you will be greeted and taken by private transfer to your hotel. Cartagena de Indias – also known as the 'Pearl of the Caribbean' – enchants with colonial charm, colorful architecture, and tropical flair. The UNESCO-protected old town is one of the best-preserved historic centers in South America. As you stroll through the cobblestone streets, past flower-adorned balconies, magnificent churches, and the imposing Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas, you will dive deep into the history of this port city.

After your first overnight stay, a hearty breakfast awaits you – and a free day to soak up the atmosphere of Cartagena further. Whether leisurely strolling, visiting museums, or taking a second look at the fortress: Cartagena offers you Caribbean lightness with cultural depth.

Reception on the ship

The day begins with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, you have the morning free before your sailing trip begins in the afternoon.

From the hotel, you will take a private transfer to the port of Cartagena, where your sailing ship is already waiting for you. The sailing crew will joyfully welcome you with a delicious aperitif and provide an introduction to the safety precautions.
Then comes a shared dinner on board.

Then it’s time to cast off! At night, the ship departs from the harbor, and your adventure at sea can begin. The islands of San Bernardo are the first stop, which awaits you after about eight hours.

03

San Bernardo

The anchor is set in front of the San Bernardo archipelago, where breakfast is served on board. Afterwards, you will take a motorboat to the coral reefs off Mangle, Ceycen, and Panda.

On the beach, a delicious picnic awaits you – ideal for unwinding. Just in time for sunset, you will visit Bird Island, where hundreds of marsh and lake birds return to roost at twilight – a fascinating natural spectacle.

Back on board, enjoy dinner before you let the gentle movements of the sea lull you to sleep. At night, the ship heads towards Isla Fuerte (approx. 6 hours).

04

Isla Fuerte

After a hopefully restful night, breakfast is already prepared for you on board.
Today, you have the opportunity to explore Isla Fuerte on foot. Expect dreamy beaches, and with a bit of luck, you might even encounter some sloths that reside here. Enjoy the paradisiacal idyll surrounding you on this small island. Both lunch and dinner will be served on board your sailing ship.

The sails will be set at night, and you will head to Capurgana (approx. 8 hours of travel).

05

Capurgana

The fourth day on board also begins with breakfast on deck while the anchor is set in Capurgana. Here, a magical place awaits you between the sea and the jungle. The flora and fauna encountered here is unparalleled. Not far from the border town begins the Darién National Park. The protected area is a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its unexplored and rare plants and animals.

Today, lunch will be served in a typical Colombian restaurant. Traditional dishes are served here, from plantains to coconut rice and grilled fish. A true Colombian coffee 'tinto' provides the energy needed to go on a short hike after lunch. The approximately one-hour hike will take you to the waterfall 'El ciello.'

Mamitupu

Welcome to the wonderful island of Mamitupu!
Today the ship anchors off the small island of Mamitupu. Not many visitors come here, as it can only be reached by sea. The beauty and tranquility found here upon disembarking is unique. After breakfast, you will have the morning to enjoy this one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Afterwards, the ship will set sail towards the outer west of San Blas. Here, the formalities for entry into Panama need to be clarified. You will enjoy another meal on board this day. At night, the journey continues to the breathtaking San Blas archipelago. The journey takes about ten hours.

El Porvenir

The eighth day of your journey begins with a visit to the indigenous Kuna community, who live, among other places, on the island of El Porvenir. Immerse yourself in their cultural world and get a small glimpse into their life.

Afterwards, you will have today and the following two days to get to know San Blas. On your sailing ship, you will make several stops at various beautiful and secluded islands. Make yourself comfortable on the beach or grab your snorkeling gear and explore the underwater world. Daily, there will be about 4 hours of travel.

After lunch, it is time to leave the sailing ship. You will disembark at the yacht harbor 'Puerto Lindo.' From here, a private transfer will take you to the airport in Panama City. A wonderful journey comes to an end, but the memories and impressions you have gained in the past few days will never be forgotten.
