Itinerary
Rhythm, Outlooks, and Joy of Life
Welcome to one of the most fascinating cities in the world. Right upon your arrival, you dive into the spirit of Rio – from the first view from the car, to the welcome cocktail in the hotel, to dinner overlooking the rooftops of Santa Teresa. In the coming days, you will get to know the city from its many different sides: in a jeep, you will drive through the green Tijuca rainforest up to the world-famous Christ statue, before strolling through the botanical garden – a retreat in the middle of the metropolis. In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional Churrasco.
A particularly touching moment is the visit to the Pimpolhos project, which introduces you to the world of Carnival and social engagement in the favelas – including samba and costume. And of course, the crowning highlight is the cable car ride up Sugarloaf Mountain: with a glass of champagne, you will experience the sunset over Rio.
Experience Nature’s Wonders Up Close
From the vibrant city of Rio, you will travel to one of South America's greatest natural wonders: the Iguaçu Falls. Your hotel is located in the heart of the Brazilian national park – just a few steps from the roaring water masses. Before the day visitors arrive, you can quietly absorb the spectacle.
In the coming days, you will experience the waterfalls from all perspectives: on a bike tour along the Brazilian side, on a walk along the walkways in the Argentine part of the park, and – as an unforgettable highlight – from the air on a helicopter flight.
By boat, you will go directly to the massive San Martin waterfall, where the spray and power of the water can be felt up close. In the afternoon, there will be time to relax by the pool and let the experiences resonate in peace – surrounded by jungle, with the roar of the falls in the background.
Rainforest Adventure
From the waterfalls, you head deep into the green heart of Brazil: After a short flight, you will reach Manaus, the gateway to the Amazon. Once rich from the rubber trade, the city surprises today with its history, colonial flair, and one of the most impressive opera houses in South America.
Then your adventure in the rainforest begins: Whether on a boutique boat or in a stylish lodge – you will experience the Amazon up close. On boat tours and jungle hikes, you will encounter fascinating wildlife, watch dolphins, fish for piranhas, and learn how indigenous communities have lived in harmony with nature for generations. Far away from civilization, you will dive into a world of dense foliage, mysterious waterways, and quiet magic – a sustainably touching experience.
History and Living Culture
From the stillness of the Amazon, your journey continues to Salvador da Bahia – once the first capital of Brazil, today a vibrant center of Afro-Brazilian culture. Your hotel is located in the heart of Pelourinho, the historic district with its pastel-colored colonial buildings and UNESCO World Heritage flair.
Here, African, Brazilian, and European influences merge into a unique way of life. While wandering through the market of São Joaquim, you will discover exotic spices, religious artifacts, and the vibrant hustle and bustle of the city. On a panoramic drive, you will experience Salvador between the old town and the Itapagipe peninsula – including a visit to the Bonfim Church. A special experience is the percussion workshop: the rhythm of the city, up close. In the evening, the nightlife beckons – with live music, dance, and a glass of Cachaça in hand.
Praia do Forte
Today you will visit an impressive section of the ‘Estrada do Coco’. The ruins of Castelo Garcia D’Avila were once the home of a large landowner from 1556. From here, you have an incredible view of the north coast. After lunch in Praia do Forte, you will visit the visitor center of the TAMAR project. This is one of Brazil's most successful programs aimed at protecting its environment. You will learn a lot about the giant turtles that lay their eggs on the beach here. Afterwards, you will have time to relax on the beach or buy souvenirs in one of the many craft shops before returning to Salvador da Bahia. Those who enjoy Praia do Forte or need a little more time to relax can stay here and spend a few more days at the Tivoli Eco Resort.
Journey Home
The morning is at your leisure. Take another stroll through Pelourinho and soak in the atmosphere of this incredible city. Then it's time to say goodbye and you will be taken to the airport.
