The 50 rooms at Explora Atacama are designed to capture the silence, privacy, and vastness of the surrounding landscape and to provide maximum comfort and relaxation after a long day of excursions. Guests are encouraged to completely free themselves from their daily routine, which is why the rooms have neither televisions nor Wi-Fi, which is only accessible in public areas. The four Catur Suites are 50 square meters in size and offer private balconies with views of the fantastic desert landscape, which can also be enjoyed from the 33-square-meter Yali Rooms. The 19 Tulur Rooms are also 33 square meters and can be interconnected, making them ideal for families.
Culinary
The dishes at the in-house restaurant are designed so that guests can set off on their exciting excursions feeling light, vibrant, and healthy. Following the principle of seeking luxury in its essence, the pure flavors of quality ingredients are the focus of the dishes. The menu naturally includes fantastic Chilean wines, perfectly paired with the individual dishes. The Explorer’s Bar also offers an exquisite selection of drinks and Chilean wines, the perfect place to unwind after a long day of excursions with a drink.

You can explore the huge sand dunes, salt flats, impressive volcanoes, and cloudless sky through hiking, biking, or horseback riding or by van. Discover the greatest mysteries of the desert: its contrasts, geography, the sky, flora and fauna, and culture. Explora Atacama aims to bring its guests closer to the unique features of this extraordinary landscape and is well equipped for this: the 20 in-house horses are trained by horse expert Gaela Hourcq and are available for both beginners and advanced riders; you can observe the clear starry sky from the hotel observatory, and for relaxation after an exciting day, the heated outdoor pools and a massage at the traditional Turi Puri Spa await you.

The oasis of San Pedro de Atacama is located 2,500 meters above sea level in Chile's Atacama Desert, which stretches from the Pacific Ocean up to the Altiplano, the foothills of the Andes. As the driest place on Earth, Atacama offers a spectacular landscape that seems otherworldly, with its volcanoes towering between 4,500 and 6,000 meters, mountain ranges like the Cordillera de la Sal, and valleys such as the Valle de la Luna. Explora Atacama is located in the Ayllu de Larache, a former commune of the Aymara people, near San Pedro de Atacama. Calama-El Loa Airport is about 100 kilometers away.
