02 Halong Bay

A Night on the Water

After the buzz of Hanoi, Halong Bay greets you with silence and space. Aboard a small and elegant ship, you cruise through calm waters past limestone peaks, floating villages and quiet coves.

There’s time to kayak, swim or simply enjoy the stillness from the sundeck. In the evening, the boat anchors in a sheltered bay. You dine under the stars, then fall asleep to the gentle rhythm of the sea.

03 Ninh Binh

Rivers, temples, and karst landscapes

Ninh Binh is often called the Halong Bay on land – a peaceful region of rice fields, limestone cliffs and ancient temples. A quiet boat ride through Tam Coc takes you past steep rock faces and into caves only accessible by water.

Climb the steps to Mua Cave for sweeping views, or visit the old capital Hoa Lu, tucked into the hills. One of the best ways to explore is by bicycle in the late afternoon, when the fields glow in the warm light and life slows down.

04 Mai Chau

Rural life in the green valley

The Mai Chau Valley reveals a quieter, rural Vietnam – shaped by rice paddies, bamboo groves and traditional stilt houses built by ethnic minorities.

With a local guide, you walk or cycle along small paths through the fields and visit remote villages. Along the way, you meet weavers at their looms, farmers in the fields, and children returning home from school. In the evening, you return to your tranquil lodge overlooking the valley. The kitchen fills with the scent of fresh herbs and vegetables from the region. You dine on the terrace and watch the light slowly fade behind the hills.

05 Hoi An

Old Town Charm & Cuisine

Hoi An welcomes you with calm streets, soft colours and a slower rhythm. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site – a place of temples, old merchants’ houses and narrow alleys, perfect to explore on foot or by bike.

Perhaps you visit a tailor for a custom-made outfit or browse one of the small art galleries. The food scene ranges from market stalls serving Cao Lau noodles to modern restaurants with creative fusion cuisine. The beach is only a short ride away and ideal for a quiet afternoon by the sea, before lanterns light up the town at night.

Peaceful days by the sea

The final part of your Vietnam journey takes you to the quiet coast of central Vietnam. Long beaches, rocky bays and an exclusive retreat offer space to slow down and breathe.

Your day begins with breakfast on the terrace, the scent of fresh herbs in the air and the sound of the waves below. You might head out on a boat trip through the nearby lagoons, explore hidden coves or take a drive into the surrounding dunes. Yoga, spa treatments or a visit to a fishing village can be part of your day – or you simply stay still and take in the view. In the evening, the sky over the bay glows in warm colours. You sit outside a little longer, maybe with a glass of wine, and feel the journey gently come to an end.
