Aerial view of Raffles Seychelles Resort nestled between green hills and turquoise ocean waters, featuring white sandy beaches and scattered villas with blue rooftops.

Raffles Seychelles

The first view is of densely vegetated hills that steeply drop down to the Indian Ocean, while below, a curved bay opens up with bright sand. On the island of Praslin lies the Raffles Seychelles, a retreat whose villas are built into the hillside, offering unobstructed views of the sea from almost every point. The architecture combines clean lines with warm natural materials, creating spaces that feel open yet remain private. Days often pass slowly between the terrace pool, quiet paths through tropical vegetation, and short drives to beaches or the nearby Vallée de Mai. It is precisely this blend of spaciousness, tranquility, and discreet service that shapes the atmosphere at Raffles Seychelles.

Villas

The villas are spread across the hillside above the bay, providing ample distance and unobstructed views of the Indian Ocean. Even the entry-level category measures around 125 square meters and includes a generous bedroom, a separate living area, a large bathroom with a bathtub, and a terrace with a private pool. Bright natural tones, wooden surfaces, and large glass fronts characterize the style and allow the interior and exterior spaces to flow into one another. Many details are inspired by tropical materials and clean lines, resulting in rooms that feel calm while being modernly equipped.

Culinary

Several restaurants are spread across the expansive grounds, incorporating flavors from the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, and Europe. In the main restaurant, tropical fruits, freshly baked bread, and warm dishes à la carte are served in the morning, while in the evening, changing menus feature fish from local catches and Creole spices. The Curieuse restaurant focuses more on Asian cuisine with sushi, dim sum, and wok dishes, often combined with ingredients from local markets. The offering is complemented by a pool bar, private dinners in the villas, and occasional beach evenings with grilled dishes and views of Anse Takamaka bay.

Activities

Days at Raffles Seychelles often begin with quiet hours on the beach of Anse Takamaka, where the water is usually clear and calm, making it ideal for swimming. The hotel can also organize boat trips to nearby islands such as Curieuse or La Digue, characterized by granite rocks, small coves, and giant tortoises. Right on the property, there is a large spa, yoga offerings, and several hiking trails leading through tropical vegetation to viewpoints. For those wishing to explore the surroundings more actively, the Vallée de Mai National Park, known for its Coco de Mer palms and rare bird species, is also accessible from the hotel.
