Helsinki City Tour: Culture, contrasts & culinary delights
After a relaxing breakfast, your private Helsinki city tour begins today:
On this tour, you will discover the Finnish capital at your own pace. Together with your guide, you will explore the city center and some of the most important sights of Helsinki. You will visit the impressive cathedral at Senate Square, the modern central library Oodi, which was awarded the title of best city library in the world in 2019, as well as the creative Design District with its diverse architectural and artistic highlights.
Next, we will head to the vibrant market square Kauppatori with the historic Old Market Hall and the charming Torikorttelit, the "new old" district in the heart of the old town. The extraordinary rock church Temppeliaukio and the distinctive Uspenski Cathedral are also on the agenda.
The approximately 7-hour tour takes place in a relaxed atmosphere and includes all drinks and food. A shared stop for lunch is planned, where you can experience and enjoy traditional Finnish cuisine at your leisure.
This way, you will experience Helsinki in all its contrasts – from historic to modern, from traditional to creative.
Tallinn City Tour: History, Culture, and Christmas Magic
Today, you will travel to Estonia and embark on an unforgettable day trip to the charming capital Tallinn.
The ferry crossing takes approximately two hours over the Baltic Sea. Upon arriving in Tallinn, your private guide will already be waiting for you, who will accompany you throughout the day and introduce you to the city in a personal and lively way. Together, you will start your tour and first explore the old town of Tallinn with its winding alleys, historic buildings, and medieval flair. During the tour, a communal lunch is planned, where you can enjoy Estonian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. After the guided tour, you will have time to explore the famous Christmas market in the town hall square on your own. In a festive atmosphere, you will find beautifully decorated stalls, traditional specialties, handmade products, and the famous Christmas tree, which is considered one of the oldest in Europe and shapes the festive backdrop.
In the afternoon, you will return to the harbor and enjoy a relaxed ferry crossing back to Helsinki.
Welcome to Lapland
From Helsinki to Kittilä - Today your journey continues into the snowy Finnish Lapland.
With a domestic flight from Helsinki to Kittilä, you will reach the far north of Finland. After your arrival, your private driver will warmly welcome you at the airport and take you comfortably to your accommodation, which will be your cozy retreat in the coming days. The drive through the snowy winter landscape of Lapland is already an experience in itself – vast white plains, frozen forests, and the unique tranquility of the north accompany you on your way and set the mood for the upcoming days.
After arriving at the hotel, you can take your time to settle into your room and get comfortable. In the evening, you can unwind with dinner at the hotel or one of the nearby restaurants. There will be time to let the first impressions of this special region sink in and immerse yourself in the peaceful winter atmosphere of Lapland.
Husky adventures & snowshoe hikes under the northern lights
After a relaxing breakfast, your first adventure begins: a visit to a family-run husky farm in Kittilä, the home of strong Alaskan Huskies. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by an English-speaking private guide who will give you a detailed introduction to safely driving a dog sled and the tour itinerary. Then your ride through the snowy winter landscape begins. You will steer a husky team for about an hour over 10 to 15 kilometers through quiet forests. Along the way, you can take turns on the sled, allowing everyone to experience both driving and riding.
After returning, there will be time to get to know the dogs, cuddle with them, and learn more about their lives, care, and dog sled sport. The tour takes place on a private basis and includes all equipment. To conclude, you will warm up with a hot drink by the open fire in a cozy kota hut. Back at the hotel, you can relax and reflect on the day's experiences. After dinner, the next adventure is already planned: a guided snowshoe hike under the Arctic sky. Away from light pollution, you will explore the quiet winter landscape of Lapland with your private guide, who will safely lead you through the snowy terrain. This form of winter hiking allows you to immerse yourself deeply in untouched Arctic wilderness and experience the landscape intensely.
With a bit of luck, the fascinating northern lights, the Aurora Borealis, will reveal themselves. Under the vast, clear sky, the impressiveness and overwhelming nature in its grandeur becomes especially palpable.
During the tour, hot drinks and pastries will be served to help you warm up and enjoy the atmosphere. Afterward, you will return to the kota, where you can spend the evening quietly.
Snowmobile safari - action day in the winter wilderness
Today is all about action - in the morning, you will embark on a private snowmobile safari deep into the snowy winter landscape. Your guide will lead you off the usual routes through little-traveled paths in untouched forests, vast snowy fields, and serene natural areas. Impressive views of landscapes that can only be reached on such tours will unfold before you.
Experience the special thrill of snowmobiling while absorbing the tranquility and vastness of the arctic nature. Along the way, you will take a break where your guide will serve a traditional freshly prepared lunch over an open fire. After this replenishment, you will continue your journey through the snowy wilderness and eventually return.
The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can relax, reflect on your experiences, or enjoy the surroundings at your own pace.
Levi Iglut & ice floating under the northern sky
In the morning, you will be picked up by your private driver at the hotel and taken to your next accommodation.
You will check into Levi Iglut, a small exclusive village of glass igloos nestled in the quiet expanse of Lapland's nature. The igloos are perched on a slope at around 340 meters above sea level and offer impressive views over the endless tundra landscape up to the arctic sky. Away from the lights of Levi, this creates a place of unique tranquility, ideal for experiencing the northern lights directly from your own igloo on a clear night. Take your time to settle in and absorb the vastness of the landscape. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can explore the surroundings or relax in the sauna and enjoy the special tranquility of nature.
After dinner, an icy experience awaits you: ice floating under the Arctic sky. In a secluded, private area, you will be equipped with a high-quality survival suit that keeps you safe and dry on the icy water. You will float weightlessly in the still lake while the clear night surrounds you. Stars reflect on the dark surface, and with a bit of luck, the northern lights will dance across the sky.
A day like a local
Early in the morning, your private guide will pick you up at your accommodation and take you deep into the silent wilderness of Lapland. Here begins a world where only the crunching of snow and the tranquility of nature set the rhythm. The first stop is a traditional family-run reindeer farm with hundreds of reindeer. Here, you will not only get to know the animals but also the centuries-old culture of reindeer herding, which remains a part of real life in Lapland to this day. You will feed and pet the animals, walk a bit with them, and capture special moments in the winter landscape. Afterward, you will warm up in a cozy cabin by the lake, where small delicacies will be served by the open fire. Then, the journey continues into nature: a guided snowshoe hike across a frozen lake into the snowy forests. Your local guide will share stories about life in Lapland and the eight seasons of the north.
After the active part of the day, you will experience a true piece of Finnish culture: the sauna. A warm sauna awaits you in a traditional wooden cabin, complete with towels, foot baths, and classic sauna branches. Those who wish can cool off in the snow afterward or dare to take an ice bath. To conclude, you will enjoy a three-course dinner in the warm cabin in the midst of nature: a soup as the starter, traditional reindeer dish with mashed potatoes as the main course, and a sweet Finnish dessert with caramel. Drinks can be added as desired.
After dinner, you will return to your igloo while the sky hopefully still holds one last highlight: the northern lights.
Conclusion of the journey
Today it is time to say goodbye – näkemiin. After check-out, your private driver will pick you up and take you to Kittilä Airport, from where you will begin your journey home.
