Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius
On the east coast of Mauritius, a particularly wide lagoon opens up, framed by tranquil waters, small islands, and long sandy beaches. Here, on a peninsula near Trou d’Eau Douce, lies the Shangri-La Le Touessrok, whose buildings spread across several bays and gardens. Paths lead between palm trees to three beaches, docks, and open terraces with views of the lagoon. Time and again, the view opens up to offshore islands that shape the panorama of this coast. This combination of open landscape, turquoise water areas, and generous spaces between individual areas determines the atmosphere of the resort.

Culinary
Five restaurants are spread along the lagoon, covering different culinary styles. In the main restaurant Le Bazar, international dishes are prepared at several open cooking stations, including Mauritian curries and fish dishes. Safran focuses on North Indian cuisine with tandoor dishes and classic curries, while Kushi serves Japanese specialties such as sushi, tempura, and Robata grill. Directly on the beach, the Republic Beach Club & Grill offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes, grilled fish, and light lunch items with a view of the water.
Activities
The protected lagoon is particularly suitable for kayaking, stand-up paddling, sailing, and snorkeling along the coral areas. Guests can also take a boat to the offshore private island Ilot Mangénie, which is exclusively used by the resort and is just a few minutes away. Golfers can reach the renowned 18-hole course on Île aux Cerfs by boat in about 10 minutes. Additionally, a large spa, tennis courts, and several pools are available on the premises.
Rooms
The rooms and suites are spread across several areas along the beaches and gardens of the resort. The entry category starts at about 56 square meters and includes an open living area as well as a balcony or terrace with views of the lagoon or sea. The suites offer even more space and comfort. Bright natural tones, wooden surfaces, and clean lines characterize the furnishing style. Large windows open the rooms to the landscape and let in plenty of daylight.
