SALT of Palmar, an Adults-only Boutique Hotel

On the quiet east coast of Mauritius lies a stretch of beach where the light of the Indian Ocean reflects in calm shades of blue over the lagoon from the morning. The SALT of Palmar from the Design Hotel Collection consciously presents itself differently here compared to many classic beach hotels on the island and focuses on a relaxed, unagitated atmosphere. Open spaces, clear shapes, and many areas directly by the water create an environment that appears modern and relaxed at the same time. The adults-only concept targets guests who intentionally want to combine time by the sea, good food, and small discoveries on the island. Overall, a place emerges that relies less on classic resort operations and more on a calm, almost homelike atmosphere by the beach.

A focus is on seasonal ingredients from local markets and small producers in the area. The offering is complemented by a bar with homemade drinks, Mauritian rum, and light dishes for the day.
