A swimming pool with turquoise water is set against lush greenery and tropical trees under a blue sky, with a white umbrella and outdoor furniture nearby.

It was Benny Anderson from Abba who, in 2007, had a property built on more than 20 hectares of parkland directly on the sandy beach on the northwest coast of Zanzibar. After its sale to the renowned Elewana Group, 15 luxurious pavilions with private pools now stretch along the slopes with breathtaking sea views.

Those who prefer not to be seen can enjoy the tranquility and amenities of their villa, including culinary delights and spa treatments in their private realm. Otherwise, the spa embedded in the garden, the infinity pool with a large sun terrace, and the restaurant outlets with waterfall bar invite you to linger.

Rooms

15 luxurious pavilion villas with over 200 m² are spread across an incredible area of over 20 hectares of tropical gardens. If one didn't know better, one would think they are the sole owner of the estate with their villa, as the individual pavilions are so privately integrated into nature. The private villas are each equipped with two plunge pools, their own sun terrace with lounge area and spa room. From the bed, one enjoys unrestricted sea views.

Culinary

Fresh fish and a mix of African and international dishes are on the menu at Kilindi. You can dine in your own villa, in the restaurant, or on the spacious sun terrace with sea views, and upon request, directly on the hotel's private sandy beach. The waterfall bar offers daily specially crafted African cocktails and creations.

Activities

No matter where you are, whether in the Zanzibar spa in the hotel's tropical garden, the spacious villas with private pools and sun terrace, or the adjoining private beach: relaxation and recuperation are paramount at Kilindi Zanzibar. In the surrounding area, Kilindi collaborates with a dive station that offers water sports. The concierge is also happy to organize various boat and catamaran trips. A visit to the capital, Stone Town, with its souk and spice market, as well as the Jozani forest, which is known for its bird diversity and red colobus monkeys, is always worthwhile.

Location

Kilindi is located at the southernmost tip of Nungwi in the northwest of Zanzibar, approximately 50 km from the airport and the capital, Stone Town. The hotel is the first in the bay and guarantees - unlike other hotels - peace and privacy due to its secluded location.
