Traveling has always meant more to me than just a new place on the map. It is the special moments, encounters, and stories that make a journey. Through my own travels, I have had the privilege of experiencing many unique places, including the vastness of Oman, the colors of Thailand and Indonesia, the tranquility of Finnish Lapland, as well as the fascination of cruises and expeditions firsthand. I want to share these experiences with you and plan a journey together that is perfectly suited to you. I look forward to hearing from you.

For me, traveling means staying curious, discovering new perspectives, and truly getting to know places. I prefer to go where one still has the feeling of discovering something special and allowing oneself to embrace the unknown.

On my bucket list

Antarctica

At the top of my list is an Antarctic expedition on a small ship – with a few people who share the same passion. A place where not many have been, and where "Once in a Lifetime" takes on a whole new meaning: animals in the wild, the cracking of ice, and this endless silence. That is my absolute dream.

My next trip

French Polynesia

Next, I am heading to French Polynesia – another big dream coming true. I am looking forward to traveling from island to island, snorkeling with whales, and getting to know the culture of the Māʼohi. As a complete contrast, I am combining the trip with stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco.

About Luisa – How Traveling Captured My Heart

I have always traveled a lot: as a child with my family, later then on my own. It has really included everything – the classic hotel vacation in Greece, six weeks of backpacking through Indonesia, and an adventurous round trip through Oman.

Yet again and again there were these little moments that showed me: I want to see more of this beautiful world. The sunrise on Padar Island, where I felt like I was in Jurassic Park. The husky sled ride at minus 25 degrees through Lapland. The night in our desert camp in Oman, in complete privacy and endless space. Such moments have not let me go.

Today it is my profession to share this passion with others and to excite people about places that have touched me. Because often it is the spots away from the known paths that stay longest in one’s heart.

Places that particularly excite me

Oman

Oman completely surprised me. I hadn’t really engaged with the country for a long time – and then it knocked me off my feet during my first visit. You can find everything there: warm-hearted people, sea, desert, cities, and mountains, all in one country. Each place fascinated me in its own way, but the desert and the wadis have stayed with me the most. The night in our desert camp, in complete privacy and with this endless vastness around us, is among my most formative travel moments ever.

Thailand

Thailand feels like lightness to me every time. Especially the south with its islands. These little moments, driving through palm landscapes on a scooter, discovering hidden coves with the longtail boat, and trying the best street food in the evening at night markets. Plus, the incredible warmth of the people and a cuisine that still ranks among the best in the world for me.

Finnish Lapland

Lapland was a journey that shaped me – something entirely different: out of the sun, into the absolute cold, and the dark days with the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. During the day I was on the move, from dog sled safaris to ice bathing and snowmobile safaris under the northern lights. In the evenings, I went to the warm sauna, with a cool dip in the snow afterward. A journey like in a movie – I can’t even say what I liked best. But seeing the northern lights dance in pink and green over the frozen lakes was an absolute highlight.

Indonesia

I have a very special connection to Indonesia because I have spent a lot of time there. It is a country you can travel to as often as you like, and yet you always find places you haven't seen. My absolute highlight was Komodo: the sunrise on Padar Island, the pink beach, the Komodo dragons – and snorkeling over hundreds of mantas while bats circle above. An unforgettable experience. But Bali, Lombok, Java, and Raja Ampat have also left a deep impression. What makes it all so meaningful for me in the end are the people: their hospitality and generosity, even though they often have so little themselves. It gives you a completely different perspective on life.

Cruises & Expeditions

Experiencing the world from the water is something very special for me – especially on small ships that dock in ports closed to classic steamers. A moving home that takes you from one beautiful place to the next: absolute comfort on board and adventure as soon as you disembark. Recently, I traveled with Silversea in the Mediterranean and explored countries like Spain and Greece from the water. Expedition trips also excite me, where everything is designed for experience and adventure. I simply love everything about it.

Komodo

Komodo in Indonesia is one of those places for me that seem almost unreal. The wild nature, the turquoise water, and these landscapes like from a movie captivated me immediately. Especially Padar Island and the pink beaches left me completely speechless.

Finnish Lapland

A completely different way of traveling, and for me, a true winter fairy tale. Husky sledding, ice bathing, and the northern lights over the frozen lakes make this place an experience that one should have once in a lifetime.

Oman

For me, one of the most exciting journeys ever. From the nights in the Canvas Club right in the desert, to the impressive mountains of Jabal Akhdar and the alleys of Nizwa, to the adventurous wadis, Oman is full of special moments. A journey that offers incredible variety and where each day is different.
